I offer an exclusive Masterclass in Portrait Painting with the theme of Pop Art.

You'll spend the entire day painting with me in a Pop Art style.

During the class, you'll delve into the depths and also gain insight into some background information about art, particularly focusing on the Pop Art style.

   •   Art review : highlighting examples from the Popart movement, What is Popart exactly? Which Artists are representing Popart?

Apart from the given Art knowledge, I will teach several techniques which are needed to paint a portrait.
You'll learn various tricks of the trade, including techniques such as:

Color theory (primary, secondary colors)

•  

• Understanding pencils: composition and characteristics

• Acrylic paint: properties, examples, opaque and transparent colors, techniques such as splattering or dripping, expressive strokes, skin color mixing.

• Art appreciation: Explaining examples from the Pop Art movement, What exactly is Pop Art? Which artists are associated with Pop Art?

 

This Masterclass is suitable for beginners (or students who want a refresher).​ But actually applicable for every entry level.

We'll then start with basic drawing techniques, building up the face and filling it in, working with skin tones, and filling in areas.

Then, we'll progress to the finer details. We will finish the portrait.

The class start in time : 10:00 to 17:00 (with a lunch break from  13:15-14:00)

10:15 - 10:45     Explanation Popart, Art review

                          Color theory, Drawing pencils. Acrylics

10:45 - 11:00      Preps space 5 min. (photo mobile chosing colors,,checking pic, Start drawing picture.

11:00 - 11:30       Drawing face

11:30 - 12:00      Continue Drawing face, fill in details, eyes nose mouth.

12:00 -13:00      Coloring with acrylics

13:00 --13:15      Short evaluation a few students

13:15 -  14:00       Lunch break

14:00 -15:00      Filling in Portrait

15:00 - 16:00     Details adding

16:00 - 16:30     Finishing portrait

16:30 -  17:00     Evaluation of the students
